As all our pups are vaccinated, dewormed and examined by our vet before we choose the new owners, we can justifiably say that we offer them with great pride.

Here are some of the benefits and disadvantages to consider before buying a Chow-Chow puppy.
Purchase a puppy because you love the breed and not because you like dogs or the fluffy puppy looks adorable.
Don’t let the puppy steal your heart but later
you can't cope with the dog. Remember if you give enough attention to your puppy, it will be a pleasure for the rest of it's life.

BENEFITS OF THE CHOW CHOW

* The Chow Chow is a very clean dog.
* The Chow Chow is a very good guard dog -
(do not buy a chow as a guard dog or have it trained it as a guard dog,
he will instinctively protect his loved ones.)
* The Chow Chow does not mess in it's sleeping quarters or the whole garden.
* The Chow Chow is adaptable to both city and country life.
* The Chow Chow can be content living the lounge-lizard life with minimal activity and exercise.
* The Chow Chow is not a noisy dog that barks all day and night.
* The Chow Chow has a very good memory.
* The Chow Chow is a one-man dog but, unless provoked, it will be friendly towards others.
* The Chow Chow is intelligent and can learn commands and easy to "house train".
* The Chow Chow does not pick fights with other breeds.

DISADVANTAGES OF THE CHOW CHOW

* The Chow Chow needs to be thoroughly groomed at least once a week -
(daily combing will also keep his coat in good condition.)
* The Chow Chow does need a little exercise from time to time - such as walking on a lead in the park.
* Never kennel two Chow Chows of the same sex together -
(once two dogs have had a fight they will never forget it.)
* The Chow Chow is quite capable of getting the upper hand, especially when no attention is given.
* The Chow Chow has a poor peripheral vision -
(it doesn’t necessarily see well from above, beside and behind so always approach the dog from the front.)
* The Chow will fight to the end if provoked.
* The Chow Chow does get eczema sometimes.
* The Chow Chow does get entropion: This is when the eyelids turns inward -
(it can be rectify by surgery and be prevented with selective breeding.)
* The Chow Chow puppy can also be born with overshot mouths -
(buyers must be careful of this, in some cases can make chewing difficult).
* The chow chow can have too much loose skin on the head.
(buyers must be careful of this, it can be rectified by surgery).
* The Chow Chow is double coated and lose their coat once a year -
(bitches also lose their coat after whelping.)
* The Chow Chow does snore while sleeping because of it's shorter muzzle.
